for everyone

Chicken ala king is a comfort food.  It is also quite easy to prepare.  Hubby has been feeling out of sorts lately and I thought he might like this tonight.First, dissolve  4 tablespoons of flour in 2 cups of 2%milk.  You can make more sauce if you prefer.  Just remember this ratio:  1 tablespoon of flour to 1/2 cup milk.  You may use whole milk or evap too.I sauteed a medium sized chopped onion in 2 tablespoons butter and added a chicken bouillon cube.  Next came in 2 cups of cubed chicken, followed by 2 cups of mixed frozen veggies and a cup of sliced button mushrooms(canned or fresh).  You can use any veggies you like as long as you cut them in small pieces for easier eating.  Potatoes sound good too!  Add the milk mixture and simmer until all the veggies are cooked and tender.  Season with salt, pepper and paprika to taste.  Chopped red pimientos from a jar are optional.  Serve with toast or buttered pasta.  Enjoy!

p.s.  Hubby said it was yummy :)
